Director, Process Integration Qubit Modalities – GF Labs

GlobalFoundries’ GF LABS organization drives differentiated technology innovation with a strategic horizon beyond two years. We collaborate closely with our businesses and ecosystem partners to define and execute medium- and long-range R&D programs. The quantum computing industry is transitioning from the ‘noisy intermediate scale quantum (NISQ) to utility scale quantum computing (USQC) and GF is uniquely positioned to champion this transition. We are seeking a driven executive to lead our Process Integration for specific qubit modalities. This role is ideal for a seasoned process integrator with a strong background in the BEOL integration and materials systems required to create quantum solutions and beneficial to have knowledge across quantum modalities—including superconducting, photonic, electron spin, and ion trap systems. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, problem solving, and execution leading a integration team, with a focus on executing aggressive schedule to accelerate at-scale quantum modalities. The scope of the role covers process integration and execution of programs specific quantum modalities Key Responsibilities Execute Technology Roadmap: execute the GF Labs Quantum roadmap aligned with emerging industry needs strategic customer engagements. Joint Development: Lead planning and execution of customer joint development programs targeting the acceleration of quantum system comprised of >1m qubits.
