Summary of Role: GlobalFoundries is seeking an energetic and highly motivated engineer for a position as a Yield Engineer in our state-of-the-art 300mm wafer fab in Malta, NY. The candidate will drive yield improvement and product performance on advanced technology nodes on GlobalFoundries’ strategic roadmap. Essential Responsibilities: Drive yield and product performance for technology nodes at 45nm and below, with the focus of this position supporting technology transfers and high-volume production. Investigate root cause of yield and product functionality issues. Use data analysis, failure analysis, product and design information, device knowledge, and technology understanding to identify improvement opportunities. Engage with our customers on weekly calls giving clear updates on current yield status and forecasts. Work closely with Test, Integration and Process Modules to implement fast and cost-effective improvements. Support customer engineering to fully meet external customer requirements. Support process module engineering activities to improve cost, cycle time, and manufacturing robustness.
