Introduction The Quantum Ion Trap Photonics Integration (PMTS) role is a senior technical leadership position within the GF Labs / Technology Development organization. It reports into the Quantum Ion Trap Lead Integrator. This role is responsible for defining and driving the integration of photonic components and optical interfaces required for scalable ion-trap-based quantum computing platforms. The position bridges advanced photonic device concepts with semiconductor process, integration, and packaging realities to enable manufacturable and scalable quantum hardware. Job Summary As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, this role serves as a technical authority in photonics integration for ion-trap quantum computing platforms. This individual will drive innovation in photonics-enabled quantum systems by defining architectures, solving complex integration challenges, and enabling cross-functional execution across process, device, packaging, and system teams.
