Summary of Role: As a Principal Engineer, this role focuses on process development, integration, yield improvement, characterization, and manufacturing readiness for photonic quantum technologies. The position works across fabrication, device engineering, metrology, and characterization teams to accelerate photonic technology development. Essential Responsibilities Develop and optimize semiconductor process modules used for photonic integrated circuits and quantum photonic devices. Execute integration activities involving deposition, lithography, etch, metrology, and defect reduction. Characterize optical and material performance using process, metrology, and device characterization data. Identify yield limiters and process variability drivers and implement corrective actions. Support fabrication of optical waveguides, modulators, resonators, detectors, and integrated photonic structures. Collaborate with engineering and research teams to improve process capability and manufacturability. Support process transfer to manufacturing and pilot-line environments.
