Firmware and Diagnostics Engineer

Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Firmware and Diagnostics Engineer to work with us in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Cadence is de-facto leader in Semiconductor verification, implementation, Design and Verification IP, analog simulation, timing closure. Palladium is industry leading Emulation platform based on our proprietary hardware. Extensive runtime features for optimal use of Palladium boards, debugging hardware by trigger, dynamic waveform dump, and full vision wave dump are unique in emulation market. Conceptually Palladium is a supercomputer using up to multi thousands of processors to emulate hardware designs. This platform is used for debugging complex and large hardware designs and system on a chip. Job Description: Develop, validate, and support firmware and diagnostic software for complex hardware systems. Contribute to hardware bring-up, system validation, manufacturing and field diagnostics, and issue triage. Deliver well-defined technical tasks, debug issues using structured evidence, and collaborate effectively with firmware, hardware, product engineering, validation, and field support teams. Requirements: Complete Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Typically 1 to 3 years of experience in embedded firmware, diagnostics, hardware validation, board bring-up, or system-level debug.
